Welcome to your  Vedic Astrology predictions for May 2025 and what you can expect from the major energy shifts we’ll experience as Jupiter and the Lunar Nodes, Rahu and Ketu, all change signs.  Jupiter begins a new one year cycle for all zodiac signs and the new karmic axis of Rahu and Ketu begins a new 18 month cycle for all signs.. Also, a brief mention of April 30, the super lucky day Akshaya Tritiya. Plus, exalted Venus supports  love,  relationships, creativity and charisma.

April 2025 brings a powerfully complex alignment of Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Rahu. It’s pretty extreme to have this many planets in one sign—especially riding on the heels of the March 29 eclipse that saw 6 planets in Pisces. Plus we’ll see a conjunction of Saturn with Pisces that hasn’t happened since 1968.

Many peope are puzzled by the difference between Western Tropical Astrology and Vedic Sidereal Astrology. Although both systems use the same 12 signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.) modern calculations show a difference in the date ranges of the signs. For example, by the Tropical Zodiac, the month of Aries is approximately March 21 - April 20. The sidereal dates for Aries month are approximately April 14 - May 14.

This difference arises from a phenomenon called Precession of the Equinox.

In 2025, you can expect to experience some major energetic shifts as all the slow moving planets change signs this year. Most of these changes happen in spring of 2025, with Saturn, Jupiter and the Lunar Nodes, Rahu & Ketu, all changing signs. Mercury’s retrogrades in Water Signs gives subtle support for resurfacing and purifying repeating emotional patterns in your life.

I recently listened to a series of talks about the neurotransmitter dopamine and the concept of dopamine fasting. Dopamine plays a role in pleasure and pain, motivation and apathy, attention and indifference. The brain seeks equilibrium which is why we humans can come to crave dopamine almost like an addiction … Buddhism teaches not to rejoice in pleasure or despair in suffering, but rather to accept all experiences from a place of equilibrium. I’ve been meditating on the energetic and spiritual causes of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Science, of course, points to DNA. The only relative I know who suffered from this disease was my paternal Grandmother, Jedviga. Recently a message came through that I should work with Jedviga’s ghost to heal some intergenerational trauma. I got solid confirmation the message was accurate, so began to consider how to do this.
